Avenues of Service
club service
Club Service is an important role for the Club. Essentially, the Club Service committee is involved in the logistical and operational support needed to help the club function successfully. Perhaps most importantly, the Club Service committee is involved in organizing the Club's social events.
community service
The Community Service Committee is charged with implementing programs designed to meet the needs of the community. Rotarians respond with hands on work and financial support, often both. Two of our recent and ongoing community service programs is our commitment to RotaCare and Project Read.
international service
The aim of Rotary's commitment to International Service is demonstrated in our programs. These are programs that contribute to better understanding of different cultures, health, and literacy. Among some of the better-known international service programs are Polio Plus, a commitment to the eradication of polio throughout the world by 2005, and Rotaplast, an ongoing program that provides access to plastic surgery in order to correct serious issues such as cleft palates and clubbed feet.
vocational service
Vocational Service Committees encourage our adherence to the principles of the Four-Way Test in our members' workplaces. The Vocational Service Committee oversees and shares ideas for ways that members are able to contribute their vocational talents to serve society.
